Dr Anna Záborská, Acting Vice‑President of the International Pan‑European Union and President of the Pan‑European Union of Slovakia, passed away on Wednesday, 20 August 2025.

In light of recent geopolitical events—the NATO summit with the U.S. President, the intensification of Putin’s war in Ukraine, the conference with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the trade negotiations on customs tariffs with President Trump, and the dramatic escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict—Honorary President Alain Terrenoire has issued the following Communication on the Pan-European Commitment.

The European Letter "Alcide De Gasperi and Otto von Habsburg on the Europe of Peoples and Cultures" was published on 25 July 2025 as part of the series of the European Society Coudenhove-Kalergi.

The following press release was issued on the occasion of the nomination of Alexandru Nazare, President of Paneuropa Romania, by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan as Romania’s next Minister of Finance.

Paneuropa Italia organised on 30 May 2025 an international conference at Miramare Castle in Trieste entitled ‘The Europe of Peoples and Cultures: From the Thinking of De Gasperi and Otto von Habsburg to Modern Cultural Districts’.

On 24 May 2025, an international round table organised by the Human Fraternity Foundation and the Pan-European Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina took place in Novi Travnik, attended by prominent representatives of the political, religious, academic and civil sectors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad on the topic of ‘Human Fraternity and Sisterhood’.

The 51st Pan-Europa Days were organised by the Pan-European Union Germany in partnership with the Charlemagne Prize Foundation in Aachen from 16 to 18 May 2025 - to mark the 75th anniversary of the highest European award, which was first presented to the founder of the Pan-European Union, Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi, on 18 May 1950. The congress was attended by guests from 21 countries.

At Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, Paneuropa Spain, in collaboration with Paneuropa Austria and with the support of the Otto von Habsburg Foundation, organised a conference from 28 to 30 March 2025 entitled "The Geopolitical Dimension of European Unification: International Understanding Beyond Our Own Continent".

At the 63rd Andechs Europe Day, which took place on 22/23 March 2025 and was attended by more than 200 guests from many parts of Europe, the President of Paneuropa-Deutschland, Bernd Posselt, and the Chairman of the Europe Committee in the German Bundestag, Dr Anton Hofreiter of the Greens, warned against Western self-deception in Ukraine.

The General Assembly of the International Pan-European Union took place from 14 to 16 February 2025 in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Alain Terrenoire was elected Honorary President and Pavo Barišić was elected President. A new Presidency Council was also elected.
