Will Europe Remain Speechless?
The Pan-European Union of Germany, in cooperation with the Bavarian State Chancellery and the European Institute for Political, Economic and Social Issues, organised the 58th Andechs Europe Day on 15–16 October 2022.
The conference took place at the Klostergasthof Andechs under the title Will Europe Remain Speechless?
In order to be able to act, Europe must overcome its speechlessness on many critical issues. Communication can divide or unite forces. Once again, it all starts with the word.
At the 58th Andechs Europe Day of the Pan-European Union Germany, its President Bernd Posselt praised the ‘exemplary and very efficient’ Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU. At the same time, the long-standing CSU MEP sharply criticised the ‘European Political Community’ that was founded at the Prague summit. This was an attempt by national politicians such as Emmanuel Macron ‘to undermine the truly functioning Europe, the EU with a directly elected parliament and a parliamentary-controlled Commission, and to degrade it to a purely economic and technical community.’
