Germany's EU Presidency and Bulgaria

Pan-Europa Bulgaria and Konrad Adenauer Foundation as co-hosts partnering with the German Embassy in Sofia coorganised a virtual discussion launching Germany’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The online conference was held on 2 July 2020 (Thursday), 11:00 a.m. (EET) and  livestreamed on PanEuropa Bulgaria Facebook page.

The event was opened by Mrs Gergana Passy, President of PanEuropa Bulgaria and Mr Thorsten Geißler, Head of Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Bulgaria.

The conference included a presentation of the priorities of the German Presidency by Ambassador H.E. Mr Christoph Eichhorn, as well as a presentation of Bulgaria’s priorities and vision within the six months by Ms Ekaterina Zaharieva, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The speeches by Ambassador Eichhorn and Ms Zaharieva were followed by an online discussion, led by Ms Gergana Passy, acting as moderator.
